We’re hiring a Youth Assistance Program Advocate

The Boone County Mentoring Partnership (BCMP) includes three programs:

  1. Boone County Mentoring
  2. The Graduation Coach Program, and,
  3. The Boone County Youth Assistance Program

The Youth Assistance Program (YAP) serves as early intervention to advocate for youth ages 3-17 facing challenging life circumstances. YAP takes a holistic approach to coordinate our community’s vast array of talents, services, and resources to help youth and empower parents and caregivers.

Job Position Description: 

We are looking for a part-time (25-30 hrs), with the possibility to go full-time, team member who has a Bachelor’s Degree and experience in Education and/or Social Services. Salary is approximately $31,200 ($20/hr based on 30 hrs) per year with paid days off.

The YAP Advocate works directly with the client (youth) and family/guardians to assess needs and connect them with the appropriate resources that are available to limit barriers affecting their well-being.

YAP is not a direct service provider but serves as a “hub” to engage clients with tools and resources. The Advocate will walk alongside active participants until their initial needs are met. The Advocate will also work in collaboration with schools and service providers.

Location:

BCMP’s office is located at 404 W. Camp St., Lebanon, IN.  Off-site work hours will be located in Boone County.
